Started by Carmichael Dave of KHTK, Here We Build is a movement to try to raise money for a new arena in order to keep the Kings in Sacramento. This city loves this team and we don't want to see the Kings go. So lets forget about the politicians and do something about it ourselves.
So far in less than a day of starting the move, Carmichael Dave has received a pledge total of $124,350 on Twitter alone. $25,000 was pledged by Jiffylube in Sacramento, who are also holding a fundraiser on Friday, donating $10 to HereWeBuild for every oil change at their Marconi store. The banner you see above was also placed on 6 digital billboards around Sacramento by JiffyLube. More pledges have come in on Facebook.
